The Congressional committee investigating campus antisemitism despatched a letter to the Massachusetts Institute of Expertise on Friday looking for a variety of paperwork on how the college is defending Jewish college students.
The letter from Rep. Virginia Foxx, the Republican chairwoman of the Home Schooling and Workforce Committee, offers MIT till 5 pm ET on March 22 to assist the investigation by turning over the trove of paperwork.
Foxx mentioned she has “grave issues” about MIT’s response to antisemitism and accused the college of “hypocrisy and selective of enforcement” of its guidelines that “exposes the mental and ethical chapter of its management’s rationalizations for his or her inaction in direction of antisemitism on campus.”
MIT joins three Ivy League faculties which have confronted doc calls for from the Schooling Committee: Harvard College, Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania.
Foxx has accused Harvard of obstructing her investigation and mentioned the college “absolutely failed” to comply with the committee’s unprecedented subpoena for paperwork.
