Halle Bailey saved her current pregnancy personal for good cause.
“The Little Mermaid” star was one of many honorees at Thursday’s 2024 Black Women in Hollywood Awards, and gave a speech by which she defined why she protected her being pregnant and the start of her first little one, son Halo, from public scrutiny.
“We’re Black girls in leisure, and though we signed up for the challenges of the highlight, on this present local weather, that highlight burns brighter, hotter, and uninterrupted, whereas the scrutiny of its magnification leaves no concealment,” Bailey stated, in response to People.
Bailey, who shares Halo with boyfriend DDG, took to Instagram in January with the information that they had welcomed their son, writing alongside an image of the new child’s hand, “Despite the fact that we’re a number of days into the brand new 12 months, the best factor that 2023 may have performed for me, was deliver me my son. Welcome to the world my halo.”
