‘Wonder Man’: Crew member dies after accident on set of Marvel series

A member of the crew engaged on the upcoming Marvel collection “Surprise Man” died Tuesday following an accident on set, in keeping with an announcement from Marvel Studios.

“Our ideas and deepest condolences are along with his household and buddies, and our help is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident,” the studio mentioned in an announcement to CNN.

The crew member, recognized by the LA County Medical Examiner’s workplace as 41-year-old Juan Carlos Osorio of Temple Metropolis, California, was reportedly a rigger who fell from rafters.

Los Angeles Police Division spokesperson officer Charles Miller confirmed officers responded to 4024 Radford in Studio Metropolis, California — the tackle for CBS Radford Studios — round 6:55 am native time on Tuesday for a demise investigation.

No foul play is suspected and the demise investigation is ongoing, Miller mentioned.

“Surprise Man” was set to star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, an actor who had appeared in “Aquaman” and HBO’s “Watchmen.” Surprise Man is a lesser-known Marvel character first launched within the ’60s.

The present was set to stream on Disney+. It doesn’t presently have a launch date.
