Elle King postpones show after curse-filled Grand Ole Opry performance

Elle King has postponed an upcoming Texas live performance following her controversial performance final week at Dolly Parton’s 78th birthday celebration on the Grand Ole Opry.

Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Value announced that King’s Jan. 26 live performance could be rescheduled.

“The Elle King occasion, initially for Fri. 1/26/24, has been rescheduled to Sat. 9/21/24 @ 10 PM,” learn a publish by the venue. “Authentic occasion tickets will probably be accepted for the brand new date. Refunds can be found on the level of buy. Thanks in your understanding!”

No purpose was shared for the scheduling change.

King has not publicly commented on backlash that adopted her Opry efficiency, the place she forgot the lyrics to the Parton track she was performing, used profanity and advised the gang she had been consuming.

“We deeply remorse and apologize for the language that was used throughout final night time’s second Opry efficiency,” the Opry’s account on X (previously Twitter) posted following the tribute present.

CNN has sought remark from representatives for King.

In 2021, the singer had a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Nation Airplay chart with a duet with Miranda Lambert, “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go House).”

King is the daughter of comic Rob Schneider.
