Grand Ole Opry apologizes after Elle King curses her way through Dolly Parton tribute

The Grand Ole Opry is responding after singer Elle King cursed throughout a Dolly Parton birthday tribute on the venue.

King was amongst a number of artists who took the stage in Nashville on Friday to carry out a few of Parton’s hits.

The singer, behind such hits as “Ex’s & Oh’s,” struggled to recollect the phrases to Parton’s traditional, “Marry Me.”

“Don’t inform Dolly trigger’ it’s her birthday,” King sang in substitute for the lyrics at one level.

“Y’all purchased tickets to this s—?” King stated after she completed the track, based on movies shared on social media. “My title is Elle King and I’m f—ing hammered.”

Parton was not in attendance.

“We deeply remorse and apologize for the language that was used throughout final evening’s second Opry efficiency,” the Opry’s account on X (previously Twitter) posted over the weekend.

The assertion was in response to a commenter who wrote, “Dolly Parton would’ve been mortified. For our first time on the Opry, it was a disgrace all of us needed to witness that.”

King took issues additional when she yelled on the crowd, “You ain’t getting your a reimbursement.”

King, who’s the daughter of “Saturday Evening Stay” alum Rob Schneider and London King, has not commented on her efficiency, nor has Parton.

CNN has reached out to representatives for King for remark.

Some Parton followers have been supportive of King, with one write on X, “Dislike seeing folks dump on her at present.”
