The colorfully cubic world of Minecraft is coming to life.

The primary teaser trailer for “A Minecraft Film,” the upcoming live-action adaptation of the favored was unveiled. The film stars Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks and Jack Black.

Within the trailer, Momoa – donning a really wild shoulder-length wig with uneven bangs – enters pixelated Minecraft world with Brooks, “Wednesday” star Emma Myers and Sebastian Eugene Hansen.

As they embark upon a magical journey, they encounter a number of Minecraft characters like bah-ing bleats, evil piglins and a random man named Steve (Black.)

“Something you’ll be able to dream about right here, you can also make,” Black says within the clip, as “The Magical Thriller Tour” by The Beatles blares within the background.

Momoa’s character Garrett “The Rubbish Man” Garrison and his three fellow misfit buddies “discover themselves combating odd issues when they’re abruptly pulled by way of a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a weird, cubic wonderland that thrives on creativeness,” an official synopsis for the film reads.

In an effort to get house, their journey challenges them to “be daring and to reconnect with the qualities that make every of them uniquely artistic…the very abilities they should thrive again in the actual world.”

From Warner Bros. Footage and Legendary Footage, “A Minecraft Film” is directed by Jared Hess, whose earlier work consists of “Napoleon Dynamite” and “Masterminds.” It’s the first-ever life-action adaptation of the favored online game that debuted in 2011. The Minecraft online game permits customers to explore and craft distinctive worlds whereas constructing something you need with digital three-dimensional blocks.

“A Minecraft Film” will premiere in theaters on April 4, 2025.
