New York (AP) — Pamela Hayden, the longtime voice actor behind Milhouse Van Houten — Bart Simpson’s very uncool good friend — is stepping away after 35 years of whining.

Hayden, 70, who voiced Milhouse, Jimbo Jones, Rod Flanders, Janey and Malibu Stacy, will log off from “The Simpsons” on Nov. 24 in a “Treehouse of Horror” episode.

“It’s been an honor and a pleasure to have labored on such a humorous, witty, and groundbreaking present,” Hayden stated in a press release.

“Pamela gave us tons of guffaws with Milhouse, the hapless child with the largest nostril in Springfield. She made Milhouse hilarious and actual, and we are going to miss her,” stated “The Simpsons” creator Matt Groening.

Casting for her characters is deliberate.

Milhouse first appeared in a Butterfinger business in 1989 and was named for the previous US president Richard Milhous Nixon. Groening stated he adopted it “as a result of that was essentially the most unlucky title a child may have.”

The nearsighted character was typically the butt of most jokes and bullied mercilessly by Nelson. In a single episode, Bart obtained Milhouse positioned on the America’s Most Needed record, however in one other he traded Bart’s soul to the man on the comedian e-book retailer.
