US forces and Iraqi safety forces killed greater than a dozen ISIS operatives in an early morning raid Thursday in western Iraq, the US navy stated.

The 15 ISIS operatives who have been killed have been “armed with quite a few weapons, grenades, and explosive ‘suicide’ belts,” US Central Command said in a statement Friday.

There was no indication of any civilian casualties, CENTCOM stated.

“This operation focused ISIS leaders to disrupt and degrade ISIS’ capability to plan, arrange, and conduct assaults towards Iraqi civilians, in addition to U.S. residents, allies, and companions all through the area and past,” based on the assertion.
