Spoiled in-flight meals prompted the diversion of a Delta Air Strains flight early Wednesday.
“Delta flight 136 from Detroit to Amsterdam diverted to New York’s JFK early Wednesday morning after experiences {that a} portion of the Primary Cabin in-flight meal service had been spoiled,” the airline mentioned in an announcement.
The airline mentioned medical crews met the plane to deal with any impacted passengers and crew.
Delta mentioned its meals security staff is working to “instantly isolate the product,” and the airline will examine the incident.
“This isn’t the service Delta is thought for and we sincerely apologize to our prospects for the inconvenience and delay of their travels,” the airline mentioned.
Flight 136 departed from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport on Tuesday night time at 10:51 p.m. and landed at John F. Kennedy Worldwide Airport in New York 3:59 a.m., in line with flight monitoring web site FlightAware.
