The beloved British sitcom “Gavin and Stacey” can be returning for its ultimate episode this Christmas, James Corden, who co-writes and stars within the present, introduced on Friday.
“Some information… It’s official!!! We’ve got completed writing the final ever episode of Gavin and Stacey,” Corden posted to Instagram, signing the announcement along with his co-writer Ruth Jones. “See you on Christmas Day, BBC One. Love Ruth and James.”
Joanna Web page, who performs the present’s titular Stacey Shipman, additionally posted the information to Instagram, writing “O my god it’s occurring!!! (sic) So excited!!! Final ever Gavin and Stacey… Can’t wait to start out filming!!”
The BAFTA-award profitable present first aired in 2007, operating for 3 seasons till 2010.
The present follows the connection of Gavin, a twenty-something soccer fan who lives along with his mother and father in Essex, and Stacey, a bubbly Welsh lady from the seaside city of Barry.
The pair’s family and friends make up the present’s group of eccentric supporting characters, together with Corden and Jones because the couple’s respective greatest pals, Smithy and Nessa.

The present’s 2024 finale will air on BBC One and iPlayer on Christmas Day, the BBC confirmed.
