Madonna removes Luther Vandross from AIDS tribute on her tour

Madonna has honored a request from the property of the late R&B singer Luther Vandross.

The singer has eliminated a picture of Vandross from her tribute efficiency of “Reside to Inform” in her “Celebration Tour” that features a visible montage of artists corresponding to Freddy Mercury, Keith Haring and others who died of AIDS associated problems, representatives for Madonna informed Entertainment Weekly.

After Vandross was included within the montage throughout a efficiency in California this month, the property reportedly reached out to Madonna’s tour group to ask for a correction.

“Luther Vandross handed away in 2005 attributable to problems from a stroke suffered two years earlier,” a consultant for his property stated in a press release to Page Six. “Whereas we respect Madonna’s recognition of these lives misplaced to AIDS, Luther was NEVER identified with AIDS or the HIV Virus.”
