Hootie & the Blowfish singer Darius Rucker arrested on misdemeanor possession in Tennessee

Hootie & the Blowfish frontman and nation music singer Darius Rucker was arrested in Tennessee on Thursday, in accordance with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Workplace.

Rucker was arrested by police in Franklin and charged with easy possession/informal alternate and violation of registration legislation, in accordance with Lt. Becky Coyle with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Workplace.

Authorities didn’t elaborate on what substance Rucker had in his possession.  He was launched on a $10,500 bond.

CNN has reached out to Franklin police for extra on Rucker’s arrest.

Rucker is a three-time Grammy winner and obtained a star on the Hollywood Stroll of Fame final 12 months.

In a press release to CNN, Rucker’s lawyer Mark Puryear mentioned, “Darius Rucker is totally cooperating with authorities associated to misdemeanor fees.”

CNN has reached out to Rucker’s publicist for a remark.

Franklin is about 22 miles south of Nashville.
